JOHNNY’S EAST (1350 W MADISON ST)

Located in Chicago's West Loop and established in 1997, this family-owned and operated ice hockey rink began its commitment with a state of the art facility, one of the finest in the country.

The East rink features:

  • 190' x 85' sheet of ice

  • The Stanley Club Bar, overlooking the ice

  • Limited indoor parking in our heated garage, located on the first level; 26 spots total. Access from Loomis St.

  • Four locker rooms with individual stalls and six private showers

JOHNNY’S WEST (2550 W MADISON ST)

On February 1st 2010 Johnny's Ice House West opened its doors at 2550 W. Madison St. The garage, lobby, locker rooms, benches, and bar are all bigger at the West location. It was also the official practice facility of the Chicago Blackhawks from 2010-2018.

The West rink features:

  • NHL size sheet of ice; 200' x 85'

  • The Stanley Club Bar, overlooking the ice

  • Ample indoor parking in our heated garage, located on the first level. Access from Madison St.

  • Four large locker rooms with individual stalls and eight private showers

  • The Annex Studio Rink added in 2014 provides another sheet, in addition to two locker rooms, a mezzanine viewing area, and a dryland training area.


PARKING

Both of our locations offer heated garage parking.

If you’re unable to snag a spot in the garage at Johnny’s East, paid parking is available at the parking garage at Madison & Ada Streets, as well as in the surrounding neighborhood. You may also use this link or click on the logo below to let Spot Hero help you out with parking.

At Johnny’s West, street parking surrounding the facility is free if you aren’t able to find a spot in the garage.

FAQs

Q: Do you offer open ice time to the public / free skate?

A: While we offer private ice rentals (see below), Johnny’s does not offer a free skate that is open to the public.

Q: Do you rent skates or any sort of equipment?

A: Johnny’s does not rent equipment of any kind.

Q: Am I able to rent ice for a private event?
