Johnny's Junior Jets is held the Annex rink at our 2550 W Madison St facility. The Annex rink is attached to the west wall of Johnny’s IceHouse West and can be entered from the garage, the rink level, and from Madison Street.

Skates can be laced up in the lobby as well as the locker room at the northeast corner of the rink. Parents can observe from the bleachers on our mezzanine level overlooking the ice.

Junior Jets is the next step after successfully completing Beginner Learn to Skate and is for kids who intend to play hockey. Some children may be asked to complete Learn to Skate - Intermediate before advancing to our Junior Jets program.

Parents of children in Learn to Skate will be notified by the Coach if your child is ready to move up to Junior Jets. There are three levels of Junior Jets: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, which focus on hockey skating and early hockey fundamentals to get your child ready for team play.

Junior Jets is offered several times a week; participants are encouraged to register for at least two classes to maximize their weekly practice time.

Participants must be at least 4 years old when the class starts to partipate in Junior Jets. 

Participants who have enrolled in several sessions of Junior Jets and are between the ages of 5 and 8 are eligible to tryout for Chicago Jets ADM with a Coach's recommendation.

All fees are non-refundable. If the participant misses a class, they may not attend on another day. Any classes cancelled by Johnny's will have a make-up date. A completed online registration agreement and full payment is due prior to the skater’s first class.

Customers currently enrolled in the class are allowed to pre-register and will have 48 hours to register before the link is made public. An email will be sent to all current customers with an access link prior to the start of pre-registration.

Johnny's does not rent skates or equipment.

Our Winter Session is underway! Classes kicked off the week of January 10-15 and will continue through the week of March 28 - April 2.
