Summer Battle Camp

Can your player "battle" to separate his man from the puck? To do this effectively players need a strong base in skating, agility, body positioning, and stick positioning. That's what we focus on in our Battle Camps. Players will work hard and be pushed to focus on skill development, a better understanding of the game, and, most importantly, knowing how to battle for loose pucks. Drills will include power skating (forwards and backwards), agility, puck handling, shooting, and passing.

This year we are going to run two camps since schools seem to be varying their holiday break weeks. The camp will be run by Justin Nelson who is the Head Skills and Powerskating instructor for Glacier Hockey He has been instructing camps for several years and ran the very successful Battle Camp here last year.

Class size is limited so sign up early. Full hockey equipment is required for all participants. Only players with some formal hockey coaching should register. Both camps are suitable for players of all skill levels, AAA through House. Lunch will not be provided so please be sure to pack a lunch for your child. The camp will be held at Johnny's IceHouse West.
