Following successful completion of the Skates & Sticks program kids are encouraged to join the Chicago Jets mite program based on USA Hockey’s American Development Model (ADM). The ADM format will consist of on-ice skill development along with in-house cross-ice games and friendly cross-ice games with other organizations. All participants of the ADM model will be on the ice for a minimum of three hours each week. If you would like to learn more about the ADM format please visit http://www.admkids.com . The ADM format will be led by the Chicago Jets Mite Hockey Director Paul Glynn. Paul Glynn has been teaching throughout the Chicagoland area since 1995 and began coaching in 2004. Paul grew up in the western suburbs playing at the A, AA and AAA levels prior to playing Junior A and NCAA Division 1 hockey. Paul joined the Jets organization last season and currently leads the Jets Tuesday evening skill development skates as well as the Jets NIHL Mite team. The American Development Model will be available to Mites (birth years 2003 and younger) who are ready to take the next step after completing our Skates & Sticks program. All players would have had to participate in Johnny’s IceHouse youth programs or an equivalent program with another organization. Players moving up from Skates and Sticks will need prior coaching approval from Johnny’s IceHouse. There will be three sessions offered per week, one weeknight and two weekends. Families will have the option to participate in a minimum of two sessions or all three. The primary focus of the ADM format will be on skill development and cross-ice games.
The Chicago Jets organization currently has opened registration for the 2011-2012 preseason clinics and tryouts (all mite age players will be able to try out for the 2011/2012 Jets NIHL travel team). The pre-season clinics are not mandatory; however participation would offer a great opportunity to evaluate your son or daughter for the upcoming season, and would provide an excellent opportunity to meet the Mite Hockey Director. The Mite Hockey Director will run the on-ice preseason clinics and the Mite tryout process. If you would like to sign up or need more information about the Jets preseason clinics as well as the tryouts please visit http://www.chicagojetshockey.org.

The ADM format will consist of on-ice skill development along with in-house cross-ice games and friendly cross-ice games with other organizations. All participants of the ADM model will be on the ice for a minimum of three hours each week.
