Every year Johnny's has a Holiday Charity Drive for Clara's House, a shelter for abused women and children. Founder and President, Clara Kirk, continues to work hard and depends on the generosity of others to help her cause. In 2007 we had our biggest year ever, collecting over $5,500, |
including a matching contribution from the rink and a very generous donation from Ingram Micro, and some great toys for the kids.

| $500 from the fall/winter 06/07 season was donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The MDA is a voluntary health agency -- a dedicated partnership between scientists and concerned citizens aimed at conquering neuromuscular diseases that affect more than a million Americans. The Association's programs are funded almost entirely by individual private contributors. MDA seeks no government grants, United Way funding or fees from those it serves. |

Forfeit Fees go to Food Pantry |
The forfeit fees from the Fall 05/06 season as well as the Spring '06 season went to The Common Pantry which provides food and personal care items to qualifying individuals and families. The Common Pantry offers qualifying clients monthly allotments of groceries, produce, canned goods, frozen foods and health and beauty supplies at no cost.
The total amount was $1,175 which was half of the forfeit fines and a matching contribution from Johnny's IceHouse. |
